Summer 2015 update!

We had a number of 'firsts' this past summer. In partnership with Hope for Atlantic City and Fellowship of Christian Athletes we held our first Surf Camp. It was blessed. Urban Ministry Teams led our first week long VBS program at the church building on Sovereign Ave! And we held our first series of Family Fun Days for the neighborhood.

Of course we continued our Bible club and mercy ministry in a number of neighborhoods in Atlantic City. And it just wouldn't be complete without our annual clamming outing. We still have some slots open this coming summer so sign up to bring a team soon!

Summer 2014 update!

We praise the Lord for the Urban Ministry Teams that came to serve with us in 2014! Since the summer of 2010 we have had hundreds of volunteers come and receive training in urban ministry here in Atlantic City, NJ. By the grace of God we're received testimony after testimony of how the Lord used the UMT ministry to change the hearts and lives of His people.

Here are some photos of the teams in action from this past summer. The summer of 2015 is booking quickly so if you're planning on joining us in 2015 contact us soon. All for Jesus!

Summer 2013 update!

Thanks to this summer's UMTs, we were able to advance further in our mission to spread the message of racial reconciliation in Christ and be agents of mercy and grace in the city. The gospel of Jesus Christ went out in word (Bible Clubs) and deed (Sandy relief) in a mighty way thanks to our 2013 Urban Ministry teams!

We praise the Lord for their flexible, pioneering spirit and their willingness to serve others as Jesus served us. As the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Please feel free to browse the pictures below to get a little glimpse of their time here in AC.

Summer 2012 update!

Here are a few testimonies from this past summer UMT ministry!

This was my second mission trip in U.S. and first one was VBS. But it is the first time I have discovered what is real meaning of mission. American did tons of mission trips everywhere but sometimes we just saw it as a trip rather than mission. When I was sitting with a black little girl and tried to involve her in our bible camp, I was thinking why we need to be here with these people. There nights later, when we ended bible camp in that black community the black girl asked me if I can go back with her. I said I can't but Jesus would be with us forever. Actually, at that time I really hope I can stay with her longer. I found she need love and the perceptual love is Jesus' love. I was touched by God that night and learned all we done was not for anything but for God's kingdom. We are supposed to love people because God love us so much. Whatever we do the most important purpose is to glorify God. So our mission trip is all for God's will. When I realized that I got the big motivation to do all my best to serve people and get works down. So mission is not limited to a one week trip but a lifelong thing you need to do for God. We should always keep God's mission in mind and share his love and gospel wherever we we and whatever we do. Now after this trip I began to reconsider my life and hopefully I can follow God's will and be a missionary one day!

Pam Hess - Step of Faith Ministry

It was a blessing to serve the people of the Atlantic City area through our partnership with New City Fellowship Church. In just one week we were able to get a glimpse of what Pastor Santo has committed to, as we took part in helping those in need. Our team was stretched, inspired and educated on urban ministry while remodeling, painting, clean and connecting with families through the evening Bible Camps. The "flexible and pioneering spirit' of many allowed the Lord to glorify Himself through the work of His children. We look forward to not only returning next summer, but also staying connected throughout the year.

The 4 UMTs we've hosted thus far from Greenville, SC, Cherry Hill, NJ, Baltimore, MD and West Orange, NJ were completely off the hook! 87 volunteers down, over 20 more to go! Here are some pics:

Summer 2011 Update

By the grace of God, the help of 7 UMTs, and the sacrificial service of our core group members we were able to hold 4 weeks of Bible Clubs in two AC neighborhoods! What a joy it was to see the smiles on the children's faces, the requests for us to come back and the communities warm welcome.

We had teams from Tennessee, Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania. New York and New Jersey come to serve with us in AC. They didn't only hold Bible Clubs for children but they also shared the love of Jesus in deed as they painted walls, cleaned houses/church buildings, did repairs and so much more for low-income families in AC.

Please pray for us as we raise funds to purchase a bunk house to host future teams in the years to come. In the meantime, please enjoy the pictures we've posted from the summer of 2011!

CYA NEXT SUMMER!

Summer 2010 Update

Allow me to tell you the story of God's incredible work in AC through NCF.

Gospel ministry in word and deed:

Our vision of reaching out to AC neighborhoods through mercy ministry and children's Bible Clubs begins to become a reality! The week of July 18th, Covenant Pres. Of Cherry Hill sent an Urban Missions Team of 23 to help our little core group and other local volunteers to do Bible Clubs in two at risk neighborhoods in AC and rehab homes for Liberian and inner city folk as well as beautify a Chinese congregation's place of public worship. God?s hand is clearly seen by all involved!

Sunday Evening Preview Services:
Joyful, Christ-centered, gospel-focused public worship has begun! Three members of our core group were blessed to attend a cross-cultural worship conference at NCF of Chattanooga, TN. We're excited to see how the Lord will lead us into the next phase of public worship.

Gaining Momentum:
Another crew from Cherry Hill, Mercy Hill church plant, our core group and others hold three more nights of Bible Club in back Maryland Ave., and over 30 children attended each of the last two nights!

Pastor Santo and Katie took some of the children from back Maryland Ave. to a sleepover/camp out at the Garofalos and then a morning at the beach in Ventnor. The perk of taking a summer missions trip to Atlantic City
